According to Etihad Airways, UAE officials have temporarily banned providing visas on arrival for Indian travellers arriving from or leaving India within the last 14 days. However, no justification for the suspension has been given.

Etihad Help said on Twitter said: "The UAE authorities have decided to temporarily stop the Visa-on-arrival option for passengers who are arriving from or have been in India in the last 14 days. According to media reports, passport holders from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Nigeria are excluded. According to the report, the COVID-19 vaccination certificate is no longer a requirement for entry for UAE residents flying in from India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

All visitors must perform a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test upon arrival and again on the ninth day after entering the UAE.

Meanwhile, Oman has begun accepting fully vaccinated Indian visitors (those who have received Covishield) on September 1. The second dosage should have been taken at least 14 days before travelling to Oman, among other requirements that must be satisfied for visitors to be permitted in.
Before departing, travellers should verify the entrance criteria. The Civil Aviation Authority of Oman said Monday that limitations imposed by several nations, including India, will be lifted beginning at 12:00 (Oman local time) on September 1, 2021.
