Saudi Arabia to impose 3-year travel ban for citizens who visit 'Red List' countries including India
The kingdom has banned travel to or transit to several countries, including Afghanistan, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, South Africa, Turkey.
In a major step to curb the spread of the virus and its variants, Saudi Arabia will impose a three-year ban on citizens travelling to countries on the kingdom's 'red list'. They will also face legal action and pay heavy penalties.

The state news agency SPA cited an unnamed interior ministry official who said some Saudi nationals, who in May were allowed to travel abroad without prior permission from authorities, had violated travel regulations. The official further said that anyone who is proven to be involved will be subject to legal accountability and heavy penalties upon their return, and will be banned from travelling for three years
The kingdom, the largest Gulf state with a population of some 30 million, on Tuesday recorded 1,379 new Covid-19 infections, bringing its total to 520,774 cases and 8,189 deaths.
Globally, Covid-19 has infected 19.52 crore people and caused 41.76 lakh deaths since the pandemic broke out in December 2019
