These seven crucial pieces of evidence helped police nail Dileep [Photos]

Kerala police have said that Malayalam actor Dileep was arrested on the basis of 19 pieces of evidence proving his involvement in the conspiracy. Investigation agencies have found that the actor waited for four years to settle the score with the actress and the plan was hatched as early as 2013.

Dileep was arrested for conspiring with the criminals who waylaid the actress on February 17 in a moving car in Kochi. It took 80 days for the police to retrace the run-up to the abduction and abuse of actress after they conducted the interrogation of 15 persons who were either close to Pulsar Suni or Dileep.

Anto Joseph

Police sources have revealed that the first evidence against Dileep was the phone call made by producer Anto Joseph to him, to inform about the assault. Dileep disconnected the call in just 12 seconds. But later Dileep said that he came to know about the incident only at 9 am next morning. Police became doubtful on getting this information and started digging deep into the issue. 

The tip-off

 

As per reports, Dileep turned against the actress, in 2013, after she tipped off his then wife Manju Warrier about his affair with Kavya Madhavan, whom he married later. 

Abad Plaza

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) found that Dileep met prime accused Pulsar Suni at room no: 410 of Abad Plaza and hatched the plan to attack the actress. The meeting took place between 7 pm and 8 pm.

Georgettan's Pooram

They also got evidence to prove that Suni was present in the location of Dileep starrer 'Georgettan's Pooram,' in Thrissur.

Police also found that the duo met thrice in 2016, once at Thoppumpady Swift junction on November 8. 

AMMA stage show 2012

Dileep had some role in providing VIP pass for Suni at a show conducted by actor's association AMMA in 2012.

CCTV footages from 'Lakshya' the shop of Kavya Madhavan too turned out to be fatal evidence proving Dileep's involvement.
