Opposition leader demanded interrogation of Chief Minister in actress assault case Chennithala said that the CM must be questioned as he was the first one to deny conspiracy angle Chief Minister had earlier said that there is no conspiracy involved in the case
Kerala Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala demanded to interrogate Chief Minister in actress attack incident as Pinarayi Vijayan was the first one to deny conspiracy angle in the case.

"The Chief Minister had earlier said that the prime accused was solely responsible for the incident and there is no conspiracy involved in the case," Chennithala said.
Just a day after police arrested prime accused Pulsar Suni and another accused Vijeesh in the case, the Chief Minister had said that Suni hatched the plan to attack the actress. "He framed the whole incident himself. The accused had a clear idea as to how to execute the crime," the CM had said.
He made the remarks even before police had questioned main accused. As his statement was widely criticised CM denied his statement and stated that he was just quoting to a newspaper report and never denied conspiracy angle. "I was just citing a media report to say that media should not conduct an investigation into conspiracy angle in the case," he said.
CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan supported CM's statement. He said that Pinarayi said so because there was no hint of conspiracy in the case until then.
