Actor Prithviraj has decided to end his partnership with August Cinema. The actor had founded the production-distribution company along with director-cinematographer Santosh Sivan and entrepreneur Shaji Nadesan and Actor Arya.

Announcing his decision Prithvi wrote that "I believe that it's time for me to start travelling on a different tangent, and on that journey, I might not always be able to be part of a partnership."
He also hints about the formation of a new company with the title "THE END IS ALWAYS A BEGINNING."
He had founded the company in 2011 and the first cinema was Urumi, which was directed by Santosh Sivan. The company produced several hit cinemas like Indian Rupee, Double Barrel, Great Father, Sapthamasree Thaskara, Anuraga Karikkin Vellam and Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty.
