In a dramatic development, the police had to suspend the interrogation of Nadirshah in connection with the actress attack case, after the director suffered high blood pressure during questioning on Friday.
Nadirshah's blood pressure shot up immediately after interrogation procedures began at the Aluva police club on Friday morning, while his blood sugar also fell considerably.
A medical team examined Nadirshah and informed the police that the director's health condition is not ideal and he cannot be questioned. Following this, the interrogation was put on hold and Nadirshah was allowed to go home.
Speaking to reporters, Aluva SP AV George said the probe team would inform the High Court that they were unable to question Nadirshah due to his poor health. The director would be called for questioning once he is better, he added.
Nadirshah arrived at the police club at 10 am on Friday. The police said that they would decide on whether to make Nadirshah an accused after the questioning is complete. The High Court has prevented the director's arrest till the hearing of his anticipatory bail plea, which is set for September 18.
The probe team claims that Nadirshah had lied to them regarding certain incidents when they questioned him and Dileep in a marathon 13-hour grilling, days before the latter's arrest on July 10. It is understood that Nadirshah knew about Dileep and Pulsar Suni's acquaintance.
Meanwhile, Dileep filed a fresh bail application at the Angamaly court on Thursday. The actor has had three previous bail pleas rejected by the High Court and the Angamaly court.
