Police hints at more arrests in actress attack case

Dileep is approaching Kerala High Court, on July 29, once again seeking bail and the main contention raised by his advocate is that police lack evidence.

Appuni, the manager of the actor, too had approached High Court seeking anticipatory bail stating that the police does not have evidence to confirm Dileep's association with prime accused Pulsar Suni. 

Meanwhile, Rural SP A V George said that the police got enough evidence against the actor to prove his role in the conspiracy. He also said that more persons are likely to land in police net. 

"He was arrested on the basis of clear evidence. The prosecution will oppose his bail plea in court. However, we don't plan to produce actresses before court though some of them are named witness in chargesheet," he said.

Prateesh Chacko, the advocate of Pulsar Suni, had approached High Court seeking anticipatory bail after speculations that the police is likely to arrest him.

However, the court said that the charges against the advocate are bailable and asked him to appear before the court on July 20. 

Meanwhile, there were reports that Dileep's manager Appuni, who went missing since the arrest of the actor, has gone abroad. However, he submitted an anticipatory bail plea before the High Court stating that the police is planning to turn him and director Nadirshah as hostage witnesses.

He also alleges that they are trying for hostage witness for lack of evidence against Dileep. The driver was also found a party to the conspiracy that led to the attack of the actress.
