Six persons, including three children, were killed in an accident involving a bus and a jeep in Thamarassery near Kozhikode on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as jeep driver Pramod and passengers Abdul Rahman (60), Subaida (45) and minors Ayisha Nuha (7), Fathima Shahana (5), Muhammed Nissam (8).
The accident took place at Kaithapoyil near Adivaram at around 2.30 pm. According to reports, the bus, which was heading from Kozhikode to Sulthan Bathery, lost control and collided with the jeep.
Several other passengers sustained injuries and have been shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The condition of two among the injured is understood to be serious.
