Kochi Woman stabbed death broad daylight Cherai beach

A young woman was stabbed to death at Cherai beach near Kochi on Friday.

The 29-year-old, identified as Varappuzha native Sheetal, died around 11 am after being stabbed multiple times in broad daylight.

After being stabbed, the woman ran into to a nearby private resort, seeking help. The resort staff took her to a hospital but she succumbed to her injuries minutes later.

Hospital authorities found that she was stabbed at least six times. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Some reports claim Sheetal had reached the beach with a man though it's unclear who stabbed her.
