In a major development in the Kochi actress attack case, the police have recovered the visuals of the assault which Pulsar Suni recorded on his mobile phone, leading the probe to its final stages.

Crucial decisions were taken after a high-level meet chaired by state police chief Loknath Behera on Sunday. The police are now monitoring a few prominent personalities in the film industry and major developments are expected in the next few days, according to reports.

Behera has now asked IG Dinendra Kashyap, who is in charge of the investigation, not to go back to Thiruvananthapuram and to stay in Kochi for the next few days as a high-profile arrest related to the case is expected soon. The DGP also asked ADGP B Sandhya, who is leading the probe team, to speed up the proceedings.

The police have not revealed from where they recovered the memory card but the probe team reportedly has gained possession of the visuals Suni recorded during the attack. The actress had earlier told the police that Suni, the prime accused in the case, had recorded visuals of him molesting her in the car while she has abducted and assaulted.

Suni had earlier told the police that he threw the phone into a lake but later changed it, saying that he left it with his advocate. However, last week he informed the probe team that the memory card containing the visuals was handed over at the office of Laksyah, an online clothing store owned by actress Kavya Madhavan, in Kakkanad.

Actress attack: Pulsar Suni in Dileep's selfie, police probe connection

The police had grilled actor Dileep and director Nadirshah for 13 hours in connection with the case on Wednesday. Though the actor's phone calls did not show any links to Suni, the police have recovered some selfies of Dileep, proving Suni was present at the shooting location of Dileep's 'Georgettan's Pooram' a couple of months before the attack.

The attack happened on February 17, when the young actress, popular across South Indian industries, was kidnapped while she was travelling from Thrissur to Kochi. The attackers later dumped near the house of actor-director Lal, who informed the police. The actress was allegedly molested during the abduction
