Actress attack: Police raid Kavya Madhavan's clothing store's office

The police team investigating the sensational actress attack case conducted a raid at the office of Laksyah, online clothing store owned by Kavya Madhavan, near Kakkanad in Kochi, it has emerged.

The raid at the office in Mavelipuram started at 11 am on Friday and went on for three hours, according to various reports. The officials went through cash transactions at the shop in the last few months, as well as the data in the computers. It is understood that the officials, who lead the raid, are the ones probing the conspiracy angle in the attack on the actress.

It is interesting to note that there was a mention of a shop in Kakkanad in the letter prime accused Pulsar Suni sent to actor Dileep, which the latter alleges was a bid to blackmail him and extort money. In the letter, Suni claims he visited the shop twice after the incident. 

The police had questioned both Suni and Dileep about the shop earlier this week. In his statement, Suni said that he had visited the office right before he went absconding but could not find Dileep as he was in Aluva at the time.

Meanwhile, Pulsar Suni's accomplices had mentioned about the role of a woman, whom they address as 'madam', to the police. The probe team is looking into this mystery woman and her role in the attack.

The attack happened on February 17, when the young actress, popular across South Indian industries, was kidnapped while she was travelling from Thrissur to Kochi. The attackers later dumped near the house of actor-director Lal, who informed the police. The actress was allegedly molested during the abduction.
