Youth attempts to rape Dalit woman after breaking into her house, arrested

The police have arrested a youth in Changanassery near Kottayam on Saturday for attempting to rape a Dalit woman.

Vineesh, 26, was nabbed by the Changanassery police in connection with the case. The incident happened in the wee hours of Saturday, while the woman was asleep at her house in Chethipuzha

The accused entered the house and tried to rape the woman when the others in the family went to a temple festival nearby. The police said that Vineesh is in the goonda list.
