Dileep's brother Anoop has approached Kerala High Court against Chalakkudy municipality's decision to shut down D Cinemaas. He is approaching the court after a meeting held by theatre owners and producers decided to move court against the decision.

It seems the actor is also getting more and more support from film fraternity as he is spending time in jail for a longer period. Earlier it was director Adoor Gopalakrishnan and producer Sureshkumar who had come up with support for the actor. Now the list has become big with more and more persons extending support for the actor. The latest in the list is director Suresh Kumar.

Producer Sureshkumar has time and again repeated his statement that he doesn't believe that Dileep will commit such a crime. "Is it right to arrest an actor based on the statement of Pulsar Suni, who is a criminal. Police are now searching for evidence. Dileep is facing jail for a crime that he did not commit," he said.

Suni had committed a similar offence in 2011 for sure. No one knows whether he did something similar before or after that. He had behaved badly to someone in my family itself. As far as I understand he is a person with a criminal mind, and there is no need of a quotation for him to commit a crime. Police had even issued a lookout notice for him in 2014. Even then the cops did not care to arrest him, Suresh Kumar said.
