Actress attack case: Prime accused Pulsar Suni gets bail

FollowPulsar Suni, the prime accused in the Kochi actress attack, was granted bail in one of the numerous cases the police have filed against him. However, this does not mean he will leave jail anytime soon.
The Kakkanad first class judicial magistrate court gave Suni bail in the case of making phone calls from jail. Suni had called Dileep's manager Appunni and friend Nadhirshah from the Kakkanad district jail and the police had filed a case against him.

However, several other serious charges, including rape, remain levelled against Suni. These cases are still pending before various courts.
The police had earlier recovered CCTV footage of Suni using a mobile phone inside the jail. Preliminary inquiry suggested that Vishnu, Suni’s fellow inmate, brought the phone inside the jail.
Dileep to continue in jail till August 22
Meanwhile, the Angamaly first class judicial magistrate court on Tuesday extended Dileep's remand period till August 22.
The actor, who was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the case a month ago, was produced before the judge via video conferencing due to security concerns.
