Dr G Parameshwar to contest from Koratagere yet again. With this, all speculations about his changing constituency has been put to stop. In the last election, Parameshwar had lost to Sudhakar of JD(S) by 18,000 votes. 

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dr G Parameshwar has announced that he will be contesting the next elections from Koratagere, yet again. This decision came after the party workers and friends from Koratagere requesting him to contest from Koratagere at a party meeting on Saturday. Giving in to their demand, Dr G Parameshwar announced his decision, reports Kannada Prabha.

Tumkur MP Muddahanumegowda said that during previous elections, Parameshwar was meted injustice and instructed party workers to take care not to repeat the mistake this time. In the last election Parameshwar had contested from Koratagere and lost to Sudhakar of JD(S) by 18,000 votes.

It can be recalled that, during the Congress meet at Kudalasangama recently, Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi had invited Dr Parameshwar to contest from Kagiwada. Earlier to that, there was rumour that Parameshwar was eyeing contesting from Mudigere in Chikmagalur. There were also reports that he was preparing to contest from one of the constituencies in Bengaluru as well. However, with he announcing to cotest from Koratagere, all speculations have been put to rest.
