The Mysuru Palace is gearing up for yet another private grand event. Soon after the Dasara celebrations, queen Trishika Kumari's baby shower event called as 'Seemantha Shastra' traditionally.
The celebrations will be held at Mysuru Palace on October 1. Royal family members of Trishika from Dungarpur Palace are expected to take part in the ceremony.
Trishika was taking rest at the Bengaluru Palace and is in Mysuru to celebrate the grand Dasara festival with her new found family.
This baby shower ceremony is indeed special because the previous king Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar did not have kids. After the death of the king Srikantadatta Wadiyar, his wife queen Pramoda Devi adopted Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar as her son and thus the Scion of Mysuru kingdom.
Born as Yaduveer Gopal Raj, he is the only son of Swarup Anand Gopal Raj, and his wife, Rajakumari Tripurasundari Devi, the niece of the late Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar married the princess of Dungarpur Palace in Rajasthan, Trishika Kumari on June 27, last year.
For 400 years the alternate Mysuru Maharajas have not had children. It is said that a woman from an influential background had cursed the Mysuru kingdom's ancestor that no Mysuru king will have a child. Accordingly, so far only the adopted sons have had children.
