Kavya death: Police watch CCTV footage for clues
- A team led by ACP Rajendra Kumar procured the CCTV footage of the campus and the hostel.
- The Hindi answer paper in which she has scored less marks, has also been seized
- Kavyasree’s classmates, Dr Mohan Alva and the director, physical education were interrogated.
- The investigation will continue for 2 more days when the police will talk to her parents and organisations.
FollowThe investigations into the unnatural death of Kavya (15), the 10th standard student continued for the third day on Sunday. A team led by ACP Rajendra Kumar procured the CCTV footage of the campus and the hostel and watched it for clues.
The Hindi answer paper in which Kavya has scored less marks, which some alleged is the reason for her suicide, has also been seized by the police. The teachers and gardeners were questioned by the police. The previous day’s recorded call of Kavya with her family and a statement of the parents have been collected, reported Kannada Prabha.
Kavya’s classmates, Dr Mohan Alva, director of Alvas Education Institution and the director, physical education were interrogated on Saturday. The investigation will continue for 2 more days when the police will talk to her parents and the progressive organisations.
Meanwhile, H D Kumaraswamy, JD(S) State President has remarked that Mohan Alva has facilitated free education to thousands of students. He has made efforts of over a decade to stabilise the institution. It is not right to bring it down to earth within few minutes and the media judging him is very painful, HDK said.
