Gauri Lankesh Murder Police crack the secret of the last call on slain journos mobile

Gauri Lankesh was shot dead in front of her Rajarajeshwari Nagar house at  8 PM on September 5. The police have intensified the probe. In the latest development, they have detained three men over the last call to Gauri Lankeshh.

Based on the call record details, Gauri had made the last call to Cable Ravi around 7.36 PM. She had told that the cable TV connection in her house was not working. She had asked him to come home to set it right. Gauri had also told Ravi that she will be at home to 8 PM and will be there for ten minutes.

The two boys Mukesh and Prakash sent by Cable Ravi reached Gauri Lankesh's house at 8.20 PM. They allegedly saw her lying on the ground with gunshots.

The scared duo called Cable Ravi, who informed the police.

This answers the question why Gauri was home early on a fateful day. She would usually come home after 10 PM, after completing the work at her office in "Lankesh Patrike".

But the question remains that how did the assailants know that Gauri was leaving for home early that day. There are speculations that they might have been watching her for days together.
