Free bus pass to be extended to high school students?

Transport Minister HM Revanna assured the Assembly to look into the possibility of extending free bus passes at State Transport busses to students from 1st standard to 10th standard, reports Kannada Prabha.

During the question hour, MLA NA Haris of Congress requested that the free bus passes to students be extended to 10th standard students as well. Responding to this, the Minister said he would look into it. The State Transport has already been offering free bus passes and other concessions resulting in huge losses to the department. Every year the expenses are more than revenue, he explained.
