Prajwal Revanna apologises to Deve Gowda. He asks Prajwal to apologise to HDK All will be well in JD(S) after Prajwal’s apologises. Revanna blames the media for wrong reporting.
The JD(S) internal turmoil caused by Prajwal Revanna’s comment that there is ‘suitcase culture’ in the Party will be resolved with Prajwal apologising to his uncle and Party State president H D Kumaraswamy. This information was announced by JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda himself. “Prajwal Revanna has personally met me and apologised for making a remark that there is ‘suitcase culture’ in the Party. I have instructed him to apologise to State President H D Kumaraswamy. After he apologises it will be a happy ending” said H D Deve Gowda reported Kannada Prabha.

Speaking to newspersons at Party office on Sunday, he said, HD Kumaraswamy was unhappy with Prajwal’s remark and he expressed his feeling to me. “I have told him not to give too much significance to Prajwal’s remarks. I have discussed with Prajwal for 2 hours and instructed him to apologise to Kumaraswamy. He will do so and the incident will see a happy ending” he said.
Prajwal had said he would write an apology letter. Deve Gowda will write a letter to Prajwal and it will be considered as a notice and Prajwal will reply in writing, he said. The politics today is ‘spoilt’ and there is nobody to give suitcase to JD(S). To claim that the Party has suffered because of Prajwal’s remark is far from truth, he said. He also said in lighter vein if somebody gives suitcase he will be happy to take it.
Meanwhile speaking in Hasana former minister H D Revanna said that his son Prajwal had actually said that there is no suitcase culture in JD(S) and it is present in Congress. He alleged that the media had reported wrong.
He explained that Prajwal had spoken at Bilikere in Hunsur at 12.30 PM but it was telecast at 9.30 pm. The delay was to edit and remove the Congress comment and make it sound like he meant JD(S), Revanna said. He also blamed the local channel which is a Congress Channel. It shared the clippings to other channels. All such schemes will not deter JD(S) from winning he said.
It was decided months ago that Prajwal would not contest the election. Only two from the family are contesting. He agreed that there is pressure on Anitha Kumaraswamy to contest but she has not announced that she would contest, he said.
