BJP returns Siddaramaiahs comment on Amit Shah

Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda  has challenged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that he would retire from politics if Amit Shah’s accounting is wrong regarding grants received by State from Centre and will he retire from politics if he is proven wrong? He was responding to CM Siddaramaiah’s complaint against BJP national president Amit Shah alleging the Centre has released Rs 10,000 crore less in grants, reported Kannada Prabha.

Speaking to media persons on Thursday after offering prayers to Anegudde temple at Udupi, D V Sadananda Gowda countered CM Siddaramaiah’s question asking who is Amit Shah to ask accounts of grants by stating that every citizen of the country has the right to know the affairs of the country.  The government at Centre is BJP and as BJP national president Amit Shah had every right to ask the question, he said.

Meanwhile at Bengaluru, State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa said everybody had the right to question about the grants released by the Central Government to the State. Speaking to newspersons on Thursday he said it is not right on the part of Chief Minister to talk so lightly about the president of a Party. Amit Shah is a citizen of this country and any citizen can ask the grants and accounts, there is nothing wrong I it.

It can be recalled that BJP national President Amit Shah was in State on a visit and he had questioned the Chief Minister regarding the grants received and how it was spent. Reacting to this Siddaramaiah had quipped who is Amit Shah to ask accounts.

BJP is having its core committee meeting today to discuss various suggestions and warnings that Amit Shah had given during his visit to strengthen the Party. After formulating a blueprint the Core Committee will meet Amit Shah on Aug 26 and submit it for finalising, sources say.
