FollowThe Anti - Corruption Bureau (ACB) told the High Court on Monday that former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa conspired with the officials and land owners to denotify land acquired by the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) for the Dr Shivarama Karantha layout, reports Kannada Prabha.
Justice Aravinda Kumar heard the applications filed by Yeddyurappa requesting to dismiss the 2 FIRs filed by ACB alleging misappropriation during the denotification of land acquired for Shivarama Karantha layout. Prof Ravi Varma Kumar argued on behalf of the ACB. The land was denotified without any public interest. Without any authority Yeddyurappa had ordered the denotification. He conspired with the officials and land owners. There is a necessity to order a full-fledged inquiry into this case, he argued.
The BDA had asked to denotify Hanumanthappa’s farm. It was Yeddyurappa who had instructed to denotify the farm. He had also lied that the Urban Development Department had cleared it, the court was told. The ACB advocates requested to continue the investigations.
