The People's Representative Court has granted conditional bail to MLC and JDS leader Dr. Suraj Revanna. Revanna was arrested on charges of alleged sexual abuse of a man and faces accusations under Sections 377, 342, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 

Suraj Revanna, who was arrested on June 23 and held in judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, received bail after spending 29 days in custody. He faced allegations from two individuals, although bail has been granted in only one of the cases. Justice Santosh Gajanana Bhatt issued the conditional bail order.

Two cases were registered against Suraj Revanna at Holenarasipur police station, accusing him of sexually assaulting a JDS party worker in Hassan district. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the allegations.

The court outlined several conditions for Suraj Revanna's bail:

1. No threats or tampering: Suraj must not threaten or tamper with prosecution witnesses, the complainant, or the victim.
2. Co-operating with the probe: He must cooperate with the investigation and appear before the Investigating Officer (I.O.) whenever summoned.
3. Passport submission: Suraj is required to submit his passport to the court and must not leave the state without obtaining written permission.
4. No contact with the victim: He is prohibited from contacting the victim directly or indirectly.
5. Monthly attendance: Suraj must appear before the I.O. on the second Sunday of each month between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for six months or until the charge sheet is filed.
