Fight Erupts Over Alleged Theft

Tinku Sharma, 26, had come to Sagar from Bihar about six months ago to work as a cook at a rooftop cafe and game zone on Shivamogga Road. On Wednesday night, Imran accused Tinku of stealing money, which led to a heated argument. The confrontation escalated the following morning. In a fit of rage, Imran allegedly attacked Tinku with a snooker stick. The assault was so severe that Tinku Sharma died on the spot.

Failed Attempt to Hide the Body

In a panic, Imran attempted to dispose of the body. He placed it in his Honda City car bearing registration number KA-15-M-7022 and drove around town, searching for a deserted location or railway tracks to abandon it. However, he could not find a suitable spot. He eventually parked the car in front of his house in Nehru Nagar.

Police Respond Quickly

Patrolling police personnel in Nehru Nagar noticed the body inside the parked car and immediately intervened. They seized the vehicle and took Imran into custody for further questioning.

Senior Police Officers Inspect the Scene

District Superintendent of Police B Nikhil and Additional SP Dr Benak Prasad visited the crime scene to assess the situation. The victim, Tinku Sharma, was from Balpapur near Patna in Bihar and had come here for work six months ago. There are some injury marks on his body, but it does not appear that a sharp weapon was used. We will have more information once the investigation is complete.”
