ISL 2020-21: Antonio Habas terms ATK Mohun Bagan's upcoming clash against Mumbai City FC as historic
ATK Mohun Bagan continues to stay on the top of the 2020-21 Indian Super League table. However, the top spot battle would be settled in its final league stage game against Mumbai City FC on Sunday. Both the teams aim to finish on to qualify for the AFC Champions League.
ATK Mohun Bagan has sealed its playoffs spot for the Indian Super League 2020-21. However, it still has a battle at hand as it prepares to take on second-placed Mumbai City FC, deciding who of these would finish on the top.
While City, too, has sealed ts playoffs berth, the top spot would be of utmost importance to both, guaranteeing their place in the AFC Champions League. On the same note, ATKMB boss Antonio Lopez Habas has termed the match to be historic, judging by the gravity that the win would deliver to the side.
"In a competition like this, you can't choose moments. The circumstances are the same for every team. We had a lot of problems in the past and now, the team is complete, but only one player will not play because of suspension. It will be a historic moment, but it will need a lot of concentration," he said during the pre-match press conference.

"We have to play for three points. We are facing an opposition who is very strong in attack. We have to be prepared for winning and not for a draw. This is the mentality of the players and the technical staff. We have to win the match and not think about a draw," he added.
Habas drew reference to the last game between the two, in which his side lost 0-1. He has urged his boys to use their experience and go all out against a relentless City, who would seemingly stop at nothing.
"The last match against Mumbai City could have been a draw because before they scored, we had a fantastic chance with Edu Bedia. But football is like this; there are no excuses. Now, this is a different match and the situation is different. We have to use our experience to win," he concluded.
