Trinamool MP Abhishek Bandyopadhyay’s wife tests positive for COVID-19; hospitalized
Abhishek Bandyopadhyay’s wife Rujira Bandyopadhyay has tested positive for COVID-19. She was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. Recently, several high-profile leaders of the Trinamool brigade have been infected with COVID-19.
Kolkata: Rujira Bandyopadhyay, wife of Abhishek Bandyopadhyay is infected with COVID-19. Her COVID report showed she tested positive on Monday (September 7) night. She has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata.
According to sources, Rujira Bandyopadhyay had been ill for a few days. There were symptoms of COVID-19 in her body. The family rushed her to hospital as soon as her reports showed she was COVID-19 positive on Monday (September 7) night.
Recently, several high-profile leaders of the Trinamool brigade have tested positive for COVID-19. Food minister Jyotipriya Mallick's and Fire minister Sujit Basu were also diagnosed with COVID. On Monday (September 7), deputy mayor of Bidhannagar Municipality Tapas Chatterjee was brought to the hospital where Rujira Bandyopadhyay was admitted.
Earlier, two West Bengal ministers tested positive for COVID-19. Recently, West Bengal minister Swapan Debnath also tested positive for Covid-19. However, after recovering, all of them have returned home.
