Bengaluru: A hangman from Meerut, who is likely to hang those convicted in the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case on Tuesday said that he is ready and waiting for the order to perform the execution.

"I am ready to hang the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case. However, nobody from jail administration has contacted me yet. If I receive the order, I will definitely go," Pawan Jallad, who has been a hangman for generations, told reporters here. He said that he was asked to be ready to hang the four convicts in the case last month.

Tihar Jail authority officials on Wednesday (December 8) said that the authority will write to Uttar Pradesh Prison Department, seeking the service of a hangman for the execution of Nirbhaya convicts.

Delhi's Patiala House court said that all four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya case will be hanged on January 22. The convicts- Pawan Kumar Gupta, Akshay, Vinay, and Mukesh will be hanged at 7 am. 

Sandalwood Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh has announced that he will give a sum of Rs 1 lakh to hangman Pawan Jallad who is striving hard to make money for his daughter’s wedding. 

Wedding preparations are in full swing at Pawan Jallad’s house, however the professional hangman is struggling to make ends meet and has reportedly availed lot of loans for the wedding. 

"It will really give a great sigh of relief to me, to Nirbhaya's parents and to everyone else in the country when these convicts are hanged. These kinds of people should be hanged. I will marry off my daughter with the money I earn," he said.
Jaggesh announced to help Pawan and give him Rs 1 lakh for his daughter’s wedding after the latter spoke about his struggles in life. 

Jaggesh made the announcement on his Twitter handle and wrote, “It’s the law of God to destroy demons. I got emotional after hearing you (Pawan) say that you will marry off your daughter with the money you earn from hanging Nirbhaya convicts. If you hang Nirbhaya convicts, I will donate Rs 1 lakh from my hard-earned money. Now, I have reserved this money for you. Destroying of demons is a service to God. Hari Om.”
