A former Vishwa Hindu Parishad( VHP) and pro-Hindutva leader Sadhvi Prachi has announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh for beheading Zakir Naik, a Mumbai-based preacher and televangelist.

According to a report in The Indian Express, Prachi announced the reward while speaking to the reporters in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. “I have announced the reward because Zakir Naik is not a religious preacher, but a terrorist,” Prachi later told The Indian Express.
She then claimed that soon after she made the announcement, she received a threatening call from a person named Shahid and told her that he will kidnap her. She has also lodged a complaint with the police.
This announcement comes a day after a Shia group, called Hussaini Tigers offered Rs 15 lakh for Naik’s head. The group on its Facebook page posted “He (Naik) is a ‘khalnayak’. He has insulted the Prophet and whoever kills him would be rewarded not only in life…but would also get a cash reward from us.”
