Union Minister Smriti Irani has been politely shifted out of the highly controversial (at least under her) Human Resources and Development Ministry. Her place has been taken by Prakash Javadekar - who has been causing problems in his former role as Environment Minister.

Smriti Irani, however, has not been shunted out of the cabinet wholly. She has been shifted to the Textile Ministry. Among other new faces, MJ Akbar has been appointed as a Minister of State (MoS) in the External Affairs ministry under Sushma Swaraj - who was absent from the swearing-in ceremony.
Venkaiah Naidu has been removed from Parliamentary Affairs and is the new I&B minister, the role formerly held by Arun Jaitley - who retains his Finance and Corporate Affairs portfolios. M Venkaiah Naidu still maintains Urban Development under his wing.
Anant Kumar gets Parliamentary affairs, which was with M Venkaiah Naidu, in addition to Chemicals and Fertilisers. Sadananda Gowda has been shifted out of the Law Ministry, which will now be handled by Ravi Shankar Prasad.
