Mamata Banerjee to hold roadshow in Birbhum on Dec 29

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Birbhum on Monday (December 28). Besides administrative meeting and political program, Mamata Banerjee will hold a road show in Bolpur on Tuesday (December 29).

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Birbhum on Monday (December 28). Besides administrative meetings and political programs, Mamata Banerjee will hold a roadshow in Bolpur on Tuesday (December 29). 

The main theme of the roadshow will be the songs of Rabindranath Tagore. Several artists from various districts of Bengal will participate in the roadshow and perform Rabindra sangeet.

The top leadership of BJP is frequently visiting Bengal before the 2021 assembly polls. Recently, union home minister Amit Shah came on a two-day visit to Bengal. He went to Bolpur and had launched at a folk singer’s house. He listened to songs of Rabindranath Tagore and also visited Visva-Bharati, the birthplace of Rabindranath Tagore.

The BJP is trying to win the hearts of Bengal people by various means in order to win the 2021 assembly polls. In this situation, the Trinamool Congress has also started using several tools to win the hearts of people.

Presently, the politics of Bengal is revolving around Bolpur-Santiniketan. Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Santiniketan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a virtual speech at the centenary celebrations of Visva-Bharati University. Before the upcoming assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is working hard to strengthen the party’s base. Political experts believe that Mamata Banerjee has taken a two-day program in Birbhum-Bolpur to win the hearts of Bengal people.

Minister of State Indranil Sen reached Bolpur on Sunday (December 27) to check the preparations ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit. He was also present during the rehearsal of the artists who will sing Rabindra Sangeet at the roadshow in Bolpur. Indranil Sen said that an attempt is being made to highlight the thoughts and ideas of Rabindranath Tagore through songs. The TMC has made all the arrangements for the grand roadshow that will take place on Tuesday.
