Kolkata to get work pods in Newtown area to break work from home culture

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, everyone has been confined to their homes, and for the past one and a half years, everyone is working from their homes. Many of us stay in a small house with prominent families and find it hard to get a quiet corner for our work calls. If you are also facing similar problems and are craving a work-life balance, a good and affordable alternative has been introduced --- work from the nearest work pods. For the unaware, work pods are compactly designed workspaces in residential areas, which can be rented on an hourly or daily basis. 

In Kolkata's Newtown area, these work pods are increasing where pre-existing office spaces have been transformed to work for pods. Therefore, your work pod comes with an optional workstation and storage systems and offers you an area that's conducive to productive work. 

It is an affordable solution about the monetary value as it costs Rs 30 per 90 minutes. You have access to coffee and food; obviously, you will have to pay separately for it. 
The Newtown authorities introduced this idea which will be available from 13th August 2021. The space will be open on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Speaking to the media, officials said that work from home is now the norm. And many Indian homes are not suitable for this. However, The Work Pod allows a refreshing walking distance alternative in residential areas.

Also, keeping the health of everyone in mind,  your interaction and exposure to others are minimized (which wouldn't have been the case if you had to go to the office), and you can continue to work safely without breaking your bio-bubble.
