Karnataka: 4,025 COVID-19 positive cases, 7,661 recoveries recorded on Thursday

4,025 more people contracted the COVID-19 infection and 7,661 people recovered from the infection across Karnataka on October 29. The COVID-19 positivity rate in the last 24 hours was recorded at 3.99 percent.

Bengaluru: On Thursday, more people recovered from the COVID-19 infection disease than those who fell ill for 14 consecutive days in Karnataka.

As on Thursday, the COVID-19 positivity rate in the last 24 hours was recorded at 3.99 percent.

While 4,025 more people contracted the infection, 7,661 people recovered from the COVID-19 infection across the state.

Out of the 4,025 cases, 2,175 new cases and 4,378 discharges were reported from Bengaluru alone.

The total tally in the capital city since March 8 has now risen to over 3.33 lakh cases.

Meanwhile, it is good news for the state as the active cases in Karnataka have dropped further to 64,480.

At the same time, 1,00,683 samples were tested (including 25,002 Rapid Antigen Detection Tests) across the state.

Other districts that reported the most cases on October 29 were Mysuru (204), Tumkur (136), Shivamogga (127), Mandya (115), and Hassan (114).

The death toll rose to 11,091 as 45 more deaths in the state in the last few days were linked to the pandemic on Thursday.
