CBSE Class 12 2017 results unlikely to be out today check for exact date

Following Delhi High Court's ruling yesterday on the continuation of moderation policy by the CBSE this year, confusion prevails over the results of Class 12 exam results that were scheduled to be out today. Although the CBSE had not released an official date for the results, exam result portals and media reports had assumed that the results were scheduled to be out on May 24. Inside sources in CBSE said that they were yet to get the court order, which is likely to reach them at 10 am today. Following this, the board will decide when to publish the results.

M Srinivasan, the CBSE schools association head confirmed that the results are unlikely to be out today since the marks tabulation has been done without the moderation and if the court order demands re-tabulation, the board has to abide by it. The CBSE Board results have been delayed this year because the assembly polls of five different states-Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur-clashed with the board exam dates in February-March 2017. However, teh human resource department had requested the board to ensure that the results are out on time because any delay will have a direct effect on students seeking admission into colleges for under-graduation degrees.

According to a CNN report, HRD minister Prakash Javadekar is likely to meet board officials today in the light of the ruling. Another report by NDTV says that although the results will be delayed, they will be out by May 27th for sure. The exams for Class 10 and 12 started on March 9. A total of 10,98,981 students appeared for the Class XII exams, which marks an increase of 2.82 percent from the previous year.
