Popular bollywood actress Reema Lagoo passed away on Wednesday night after a cardiac arrest. She was just 59. The actress had complained of chest pain on Wednesday night, following which she was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri. She breathed her last there.

A popular Marathi theater personality, she started her film career in the late 1970 and 80s. However, she was best known for playing the role of on-screen mothers to key protagonists in blockbuster hits like 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', and 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. She also left a mark in popular television serials like 'Tu Tu Main Main' and 'Shriman Shrimati'.
