BJP Kisan Morcha leader, wife shot dead by terrorists in J&K's Anantnag
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the terror attack on the BJP leader and his wife and said that the perpetrators behind the 'coward' attack will be brought to justice soon.
FollowIn South Kashmir's Anantnag district, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and his wife were killed in a terrorist attack on Monday. The leader was identified as BJP's Kisan Morcha president of Kulgam, Gulam Rasool Dar. Along with his wife, he died after terrorists fired bullets at the couple in the Lal Chowk area.
The two were rushed to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries, Â police officials informed.
The security forces had seized a massive cache of arms and ammunition in J&K's Poonch district just hours before the attack. The confiscated items included two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines, one Chinese pistol, ten pistol magazines, four Chinese grenades and 257 round AK-47 ammunition, said the Border Security Forces.
