A food blogger's video of a golgappa vendor in Patna has gone viral after the vendor was purportedly seen using an unreleased iPhone 17 Pro Max to accept digital payments. The video, which shows the expensive device being used at a street food stall, has sparked a wider conversation online about the accessibility of luxury smartphones.

Apple fans are usually anxious to get their hands on the next iPhone, and the iPhone 17 series is already generating buzz for that reason. Many consumers seek discounts, exchange offers, EMI plans, or second-hand bargains to make the expensive equipment more accessible. This time, an Instagram video piqued interest for a different reason. While browsing the internet, we came across a video of a golgappa vendor in Patna purportedly using an iPhone 17 Pro Max valued Rs 1,49,900.

The scene stood out, but it also highlights how luxury smartphones are now being seen in many aspects of life. Bihari Adda Wala, a food blogger, posted the video while out exploring Patna's street food scene. During his tour, he stopped at a shop called Shivji Banarasi Golgappa near Patna Junction.

What astonished him was the phone used by the vendor to collect payments, which seemed to be a genuine iPhone 17 Pro Max. In the video, the vendor says he uses his phone to receive digital payments from consumers. The creator also looks at the user interface, which appears to be similar to an iPhone.

Along with responding to the gadget, he appreciates the flavour of the golgappe and mentions the stall in the video.

The video has also sparked a larger internet conversation about how pricey cellphones are becoming. One key factor is the availability of EMI plans.

With repayment options that last up to two years, many consumers may purchase expensive items without paying the whole amount upfront. At the same time, such programs may put further strain on certain people's finances.

Another reason is the robust second-hand market for luxury smartphones. Pre-owned smartphones are increasingly easy to obtain and frequently cost less than new models. Because of these alternatives, luxury cellphones are no longer confined to a specific sort of customer and are becoming more prominent in ordinary enterprises.
