India has created history in its final event of the Tokyo Olympics. In the javelin throw finals with 87.58 metres, India won the gold medal on Saturday, thanks to Neeraj Chopra's heroic effort. As he got the feat, people across India hailed him and celebrated his victory.
Apart from politicians and sportsmen, business tycoon Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to congratulate him for the victory and compared him with 'baahubali'.

Post the win; the business tycoon posted an image of the Olympic medal and said:
"The Javelin throw is arguably the most frequently used image for commemorative coins. We need to have one officially released depicting #NeerajChopra @narendramodi @ianuragthakur."

Responding to a follower on Twitter who asked the tycoon to gift Chopra the XUV700, Mahindra said, "Yes indeed. It will be my personal privilege & honour to gift our Golden Athlete an XUV 700."

It was the perfect start for Chopra as he fired 87.03m and shot up to the top of the table in the opening round itself. In the second attempt, Neeraj bettered it by throwing it at a distance of 87.58m, thus maintaining his top spot. In the next few attempts, he couldn't better his distance but maintained his top spot. However, in the final round, Neeraj bounced back in style, firing 84.24m.

The silver and bronze medals were claimed by the Czech Republican duo of Jakub Vadlejch and Vitezslav Vesley. He is also only the second Indian athlete after Abhinav Bindra to win an individual Olympic gold.
