Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asserted that Nitish Kumar will be the next chief minister of Bihar after the coming assembly elections in the state.
'Nitish Kumar will be the next chief minister of Bihar' -- that's the declaration made by Amit Shah during a television interview ahead of the Bihar elections where he also downplayed the impact that former ally Lok Janshakti Party may have on the mandate when it contests against the NDA.
In an interview to television channel CNN News18, Shah said: "There is no if or but. Nitish Kumar will be the next chief minister of Bihar. We have made a public announcement and we are committed to it."
Shah said people of Bihar will get a "double engine" government -- one at Bihar headed by Nitish Kumar and another at the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
