Publication Mid-Day has released some of the pictures of Abu Salem with his wife, Kausar. The photos have been taken between 2012 and 2015.
Currently lodged in Taloja prison in Mumbai, Abu is seen travelling on a train with his wife Sayyed Bahaar Kausar, 26. He is also seen chatting over a mobile phone in jail; a facility common jailbirds do not enjoy.
Salem had got special permission from the court and married his girlfriend Kausar in 2014, in the presence of his relatives and the police. He is said to have accompanied by his wife on train journeys to Lucknow and Delhi for various trials.
A relationship between them is said to have bloomed when Abu promised Kausar good roles in movies, thanks to his contacts in Bollywood. But as the time passed, their meetings became frequent, and their affair seems to have deepened into a wedding.
Strangely, when media reports came out in 2014 that Kausar had married Abu, she expressed anger against the press. At the time she stated, “Now no one will marry me, and I am not left with any choice but to marry him.”
But however, photos taken over a period of three years clearly indicate that they had a close relationship and sources also said that they were indeed married, says the report in Mid-Day.
It seems like Abu Salem is a rather free bird inside the prison.
