Speaking to Asianet Newsable, Mysuru police commissioner KT Balakrishna refused to comment on this and said that he was not aware of the incident. "If the event was true, I would then take a call to decide what steps have to be taken," he added.
Meanwhile, Asianet Newsable also spoke to a member of the BJP, who said that Pratap Simha should not have lost his cool in public as he is a public representative and this event would invite a bad impression on the party. The BJP member, on the condition of anonimity, also said that Pratap Simha should apologise to the police officers for using foul language in public.
According to Indian mythology, Dussehra is celebrated to mark how Goddess Chamundeshwari (also called as Durga) killed demon Mahishasura. The demon was slayed by the Goddess, and this gave the city its name - Mysuru.
