Robot Astro

Amazon's Astro home robot was the unique item it unveiled last night. The Alexa-powered robot integrates computer vision, artificial intelligence, Alexa, and Ring technologies to become a rolling digital companion. Astro's concept is to overcome the issues associated with stationery smart goods, allowing easy communication for the elderly or disabled. While users are away, Astro can monitor rooms in a house, people, and pets.

The robot is intended to navigate your home without colliding with any walls or furnishings. It also includes features like eye emotions, screen movements, and the ability to talk. The robot looks around the home with a built-in periscope camera and displays expressions and information on a spinning screen. The microphone and cameras in Astro, like other smart devices, may be turned off.

Smart display screen 

Amazon's newest Echo product has a smart display. The Echo Show 15 has a 15.6-inch Full HD display, wall-mounted or put on a counter. The Echo Show 15 is the biggest Echo with a screen and can be placed vertically or horizontally. It is powered by an Amazon AZ2 Neural Edge processor and has a redesigned home screen with additional personalization possibilities. The Echo Show 15 will be available shortly for $249.99 (about Rs 18,500). Amazon did not specify a specific release date for the Echo Show 15.

Fitness tracker

Amazon also introduced the Halo View, their latest fitness tracker, as well as new features to assist improve the Halo fitness tracker. The firm launched Halo Fitness, a studio exercise service, Halo Nutrition, which collaborates with companies such as Whole Foods and Weight Watchers, and the Halo View fitness tracker, which has an AMOLED display and is $79.99 when purchased with a full year of Halo membership (roughly Rs 5,900). The Halo View fitness tracker has a standard fitness tracker design with a colour display that allows users to scroll through the stats.

Video calling gadget for kids

Amazon Glow is a brand-new video calling gadget designed with children in mind. The Amazon Glow is a freestanding interactive gadget that stands 14 inches tall and has an 8-inch display. The Amazon Glow enables children to conduct enjoyable video chats with their loved ones. The gadget allows users to display 19-inch interactive puzzles, tales, or sketching activities onto a 22-inch mat. They may do all of this with the individual with whom they are on a video call. Amazon has worked with some of the greatest names in children's entertainment, like Disney, Sesame Street, and Nickelodeon, to develop original content for Glow. The Amazon Glow is likewise $249.99 (about Rs 18,500) and comes with a one-year warranty.

During Amazon's event last year, the Always Home Drone camera from Amazon-owned Ring was the centre of attention. This year, the firm has brought back the Always Home drone camera and claims it will begin delivering soon for $250. (roughly Rs 18,500). It will, however, be by invitation only. The camera's concept is to utilize active sensors and a "dedicated neural processing unit" to detect noise or activity in a user's house and then fly out of its docking station. When the drone is at rest, the docking station also blocks the camera. The drone camera will fly about your house, providing you with a real-time view of what's going on.

Amazon also owns the security solutions brand Blink in addition to Ring. Last night, the firm released a new Blink Video Doorbell for $49.99 (about Rs 3,700) that can be put wired or wire-free and has two-year battery life. Day and night video in 1080p HD, two-way audio, chime app notifications, and the option to link to and sound your existing in-home chime are all included.
