West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar discontinued the West Bengal assembly from Monday (February 15) and stated that in the country's parliamentary history, an assembly has never been in session for over a year without being prorogued.

<p>In a Twitter post, Jagdeep Dhankhar said he discontinued the assembly from February 15, taking note of recommendation by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.</p>
