A man wearing an orange stole was banging on my bonnet and smiling. He was pressing his protruding belly against my car. He was swaying in front of me as if proving some absurd point. His friends were shouting 'Jai Maharashtra!' at my windows and laughing. We moved a little further, and then the same thing was repeated. This act was done twice in a span of five minutes."
Furthermore, she said that she later saw the police, but they were just sitting and talking, there was no law and order. Sumona said that she felt extremely unsafe in her car in broad daylight in South Bombay, while the roads were littered with banana peels, plastic bottles, and garbage.
