Naga Chaitanya surprises wife Samantha Akkineni on birthday, bakes cake

Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya first met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave, but sparks of love ignited between them after a while. Initially, when rumours of them dating surfaced, the actors remained tight-lipped about it until a year before their wedding, when they came out in the open and made it official.

South superstar Samantha Akkineni turned a year older on Tuesday. This time however, she will not be celebrating her birthday with her loved ones outside home since the coronavirus lockdown is in effect. 
 

However, hubby Naga Chaitanya did make the occasion very special for her by baking a cake at home. Naga Chaitanya looked up the recipe online and baked what looked like a chocolate cake.

Samantha shared adorable pictures and videos from the time Naga Chaitanya took to kitchen duties. We can see the couple's adorable pet dog Hash also looking forward to what was happening in the kitchen and accompanied Naga Chaitanya throughout the cake-baking process.

Samantha shared pictures from her mid-night birthday celebrations and wrote, "Family  .... (no points for guessing what I am praying for)." In the photo, the actress is seen sitting with folded hands and praying for her the happiness of her family before cutting the cake.
 

Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya never fail to leave their fans amazed with their sparkling chemistry. The duo tied the knot on October 7, 2017, and their pictures were a rage on the internet. From pre-wedding ceremonies to the wedding reception, the couple left everybody in awe of how madly in love they looked.
 

On the work front, Samantha will feature in Amazon Prime Video series The Family Man 2. The web series will mark her debut in the digital space as well in the Hindi film industry. The release date of The Family Man 2, which went on floors in November 2019, is yet to be announced. Samantha, post lockdown, is also set to star in a female-centric bilingual film directed by Ashwin Saravanan, co-starring Prashanth.

Talking about Naga Chaitanya, the actor is gearing up for Sekhar Kammula's Love Story and Parasuram's NC20 to be released after the lockdown.
