Actress Samantha Akkineni is in the news and getting trolled after her latest show, The Family Man's trailer got released. As soon as the trailer was dropped, it invited trolling and negativity, particularly towards Samantha's character.

In the show, Samantha plays Raji's role, an LTTE terrorist in the web series, and her fans are super excited to watch the series, which is also a debut in Bollywood.

Sam was criticized for playing the part of an extremist from Tamil roots. The hashtag ‘Family Man 2 Against Tamilians’ also went viral on social media.

Samantha's family members are now worried about the reactions. According to Bollywood Hungama, Sam's father-in-law Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, who is very protective about his children, reacted towards the whole matter.

A source close to the Telugu superstar and the Akkineni family said, “Nag is no stranger to protests. But he won’t tolerate his children being attacked. And Sam, as he affectionately calls her, is like a daughter of the family. Nag  gets very upset  to see any  of his children in a  vulnerable situation.”

According to the Bollywood Hungama report, the family hopes all goes well, and the matter die down as the show gets aired on June 04. Samantha has been directed by the show producers and Amazon to not comment on the issue.
