In one of her old media interaction, Jaya spoke about her granddaughter Aaradhya and joked about her having Miss World (Aishwarya Rai) for a nurse.
Talking about Aishwarya's parenting skills, Jaya once said, "I think that Aishwarya does a very good job of the hands-on mummy. And sometimes I tease her and say Aaradhya is a very lucky girl — can you imagine having a nurse like Miss World Aishwarya.”
The veteran actress further said, "I would like her (Aishwarya) to start going out but she is absolutely hands-down and doesn’t depend on anybody. I think that is great."
Earlier in the day, Jaya's son, Abhishek Bachchan posted a throwback picture to wish his mom on her birthday. He wrote "Happy birthday. Love you MAA."
Jaya's granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda also shared old candid photos of her, and wrote, "Nani I love you. Happy Birthday!"
