Amitabh Bachchan lends a helping hand amid Coronavirus second wave in the country, donates Rs 2 crore to Delhi's Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Centre and arranged oxgen concentrators.
Many Bollywood celebrities are helping and contributing from their side to save and help India as we battle the second wave of coronavirus. Now legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan came forward and donated Rs 2 crore to Delhi's Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Centre and also arranged oxygen concentrators for the patients.
Apart from the monetary donation, the actor also arranged oxygen cylinders from abroad for the facility.
The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee president, Majinder Singh Sirsa, thanked Big B for his gesture and contribution.
Taking to his Twitter account he wrote, "Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "Sikhs are Legendary सिखों की सेवा को सलाम" These were the words of @SrBachchan Ji when he contributed Rs 2 Cr to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Facility. While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this Facility."
On Sunday Bachchan he also dropped a video of Vax Live event on his Twitter handle and requested the citizen to help India fight Covid-19. In the video, he can be heard saying, "Namaskar, this is Amitabh Bachchan. My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of Covid-19. As a global citizen I appeal to all global citizens to rise up, speak to your governments, pharmaceutical companies and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand, to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts. As Mahatma Gandhiji said, "In a gentle way you can shake the world" Thank you"
On the work front, the actor will be seen in Chhere, Brahmastra and Goodbye, along with Neena Gupta and Rashmika Mandanna. He also recently replaced Rishi Kapoor in The Intern.
