In January 2016, Kalki posted a video titled 'Printing Machine'. The video has been produced by Blush and directed by Akanksha Seda. It was inspired by one of the key influencers in our lives — news houses and the media. The video brilliantly highlights the powerful critique of sensationalism in the media. “We are flooded by an onslaught of objectifying and horrific news reports and imagery that have desensitised us,” she said.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Kalki released a video which had a powerful poem that spoke for every woman in India. YouTube channel Bollywood Gandus released the video is an attempt not to let those powerful words die. The video captioned, A few years ago Kalki Koechlin sat down in front of a crowd and wowed them with her poetic performance.

AIB (All India Bakchod), brainchild of comedians Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya and Gursimran Khamba, launched a satirical video in 2013, titledIt's your fault. The sarcastic video featured Kalki Koechlin and VJ Juhi Pande. In it the duo launch a satire on the victim  blaming that exists in India. It deals with topics like the clothes women wear to invite assault and marital rape. The video ends with a series of women speaking to the camera and acknowledging one fact - "It's my fault."

Again in 2016, she performed a theatrical monologue titled, 'Wo-Manologue' at Young FICCI Ladies Organisation. It called upon women to embrace their sexuality and refrain from competing with men. 

 

Kalki feels that 'everyone is a feminist' and a person who does not identify as one is a 'bad human being.' Here’s her take on it:  "I feel one should come up with a basic ABCD video on feminism. If you are not a feminist, you are a bad human being. Being a feminist means asking for equality. But people take it the other way at times. It is looked down upon because it is seen as man-hating. But, feminism is a crazy idea that suggests men and women are equal.”

• She said it was imperative that both sexes acknowledge that their 'different bodies' have 'different capacities.'

 

• No gender is fairer than the other. Women are not a doormat. We are equivalent to men. It is just that we have different bodies and different biological needs. We have capacities which should be celebrated and rewarded in the society.

 

• The simple point is that because women have been suppressed for so long, they need to rise and indeed take over. For things to be equal again.
