Watch Vanamagan teaser: Jayam Ravi into Tarzan for his next!

The movie has been helmed by Tamil director AL Vijay, the same director who gave us Abhinetri and Devi. Vanamagan will also star newbie Sayeshaa Saigal, who was seen in Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. She is now making her Tamil debut with Ravi.

 

On 6th February, the filmmaker launched the poster, which showed him swinging from a tree with a bow and an arrow in hand. 

 

 

Jayam took to Twitter to share the first look; later he shared the teaser of the movie saying, "the film will be an action fest with loads of entertainment." 

 

In a press meet, Ravi stated that Vanamagan features high-octane action sequences and Ravi chose to do his stunts without a body double.

 

 

The teaser opens to a beautiful, luscious jungle and suddenly, we see Jayam swing out from nowhere, holding a thick creeper of a tree with a bow and arrow. The best part of the video clip is the mesmerising background score. 

 

We are in love with the beats of the music, from nature birds chirping to a wild, hypnotic tempo. And the visuals are the outstanding. Hats off to cinematographer Tirru.  According to the reports, the film has been shot extensively in the Andaman Islands, Vietnam, Thailand and in the forests of Tirupathi. So it's obvious, we are up for some breathtaking and visuals.

 

Nearly 80 per cent of the film’s shooting has been completed. The makers are planning to dub the movie in Telugu and release it simultaneously. The film has music by Harris Jayaraj. 

 

Jayam Ravi's recent action-drama – Bogan with Arvind Swamy and Hansika Motwani received positive reviews. So far at the Chennai Box Office, it has collected Rs 1.62 crore in the four-day weekend.  Ravi is also shooting for an upcoming space thriller Tik Tik Tik with his son Aarav.
