Tamil superstar Ajith surprises with six packs in Vivegam

The film which was tentatively known as Thala 57 has been revealed as Vivegam and the first look poster has already gone viral on social media. For the superstar, Ajith, the movie names starting with 'V' have often signified box office victory. To name a few, Veeram, Vedalam, Varalaaru and Vaali are some of Ajith's big hits. 

 

This movie is directed by Siruthai Siva, featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Akshara Haasan and Vivek Oberoi. Ajith had to shed a lot of weight to portray an international spy in the movie. 

 

In the poster, Ajith sports a bare body flaunting his six-packs shows his huge physical transformation and along with his usual salt & pepper hair style. With his intense eyes leave a good impact on the viewers. 

 

The actor is seen donning cargo pants with red boxing gloves and a group of people pointing their guns towards him, and the poster comes with a caption 'Believe in yourself'.

 

 

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi tweeted, “And here’s the English version #Vivegam ! Ajith anna’s phenomenal transformation! So inspiring! #Thala57FirstLook.” 

 

Vivek is playing the antagonist in the film, which also marks his debut in Tamil film industry. 

 

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander said in an interview that, "Vivegam is being made at par with international standards." He also added that "the movie will be stylish like a James Bond film."

 

The shooting started in Europe in September 2016. The unit has wrapped up over 70 percent of the filming in Bulgaria, Chennai and Hyderabad.

 

The team is currently wrapping up the remaining parts of the film and it is expected to hit the screens in April, 2017.
